The four Medicare decisions that matter

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

Bundles your Part A and B coverage, usually with Part D drug coverage, in one plan from a private carrier. Often includes extras such as dental, vision, and hearing. Networks matter here, so we check your doctors before anything else.

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

Pairs with Original Medicare and helps pay the deductibles, copays, and coinsurance Medicare leaves behind. See any provider nationwide who accepts Medicare, with no networks and no referrals.

Part D prescription plans

Standalone drug coverage that works with Original Medicare or a Supplement. The right plan depends entirely on your prescription list, so we check your exact medications against each plan formulary.

Dual-eligible & low-income help

If you qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid, or for the Part D low-income subsidy, special plans can dramatically lower your costs. I help you find out what you qualify for and enroll.

Questions

Medicare, answered plainly

I am turning 65. When do I need to act?

Your Initial Enrollment Period is a seven-month window: the three months before your birthday month, your birthday month, and the three months after. Missing it can mean lifelong penalties, so start comparing a few months ahead.

Medicare Advantage or a Supplement: which is better?

Neither is better for everyone. Advantage plans bundle coverage with low or zero premiums but use networks. Supplements cost more monthly but work with any doctor who takes Medicare. The right answer depends on your doctors, prescriptions, travel, and budget.

Does Medicare help from an agent cost anything?

No. I am paid by the carrier you enroll with, and your premium is identical either way. You get plan comparison, enrollment help, and a person to call all year at no cost.

Can I change my Medicare plan after I enroll?

Yes, during the Annual Enrollment Period each fall (October 15 to December 7), and in certain special situations during the year. I review my clients' plans every year because carriers change benefits and formularies annually.
